I have just had a barclaycard PPI rejection letter saying that they have ordered a copy of my application form showing that I chose to take out PPI!!! which I dont remember doing as I got my barclaycard with a £300 limit at the age of 19 in 2003 which why would I get it with a £300 limit.
"I must advice you that compensation is not available in this case"
However I got another letter dated same day .... offering me the difference in late payment charges amounting to £230 and saying they do not admit any liability and it is a good will gesture ... Do you think they are trying to sweeten me with this offer .....as I never even challenged the late payments as I was gonna wait for the outcome of the OFT report.
never knew that .... Do you think I might have a case with the wrongful selling of the PPI as I never remember signing anything as back in 2003 I originally gt declined due to my dad having some bad credit when they used to associate everyone in the same house as one ... after writing a letter they gave me a £300 limit... no mention of the PPI in all honesty why would they even of tried selling me PPI for 300 limit.. do you recommend following this although the letter from barclaycard does state they will send me my signed agreement in 28 days ...is this sometimes them trying it on and saying that they have it
