Eggicon agreed to refund the charges but I have to agree that their charges are fair in future and that I would not contest them any more

Also the matter is to remain confidential

Well I accepted the full refund but couldn't agree that any future charges would be fair? I also couldn't agree to the confidentiality.

Therefore they are threating to terminate my account with them

    Hi jannercobbler

I have just come across your posting. If what you have said is correct, then Egg have acted in a totally unlawful manner. I could not believe what I was reading!
The most important thing to constantly be aware of is that every aspect of the moneylending/credit/debt business is regulated by relevant laws. - Egg will find that there is no law or set of regulations which would authorise Egg to make you agree not to challenge any future charges, or make you agree to keep your dealings with Egg confidential (i.e.secret).
Egg's conduct in your case, based on what you have posted, would most certainly fall under S140 of CCA 1974 (unfair business relationships). I'm sure it would also contravene other UK regulations and Government guidelines to creditors.

    Regards

Everything has been kept in a safe place awaiting their next response, which should be somewhere around Tues / Weds before I decide what to do about them.

I have several choices but will wait and see now.

Oh and they want me to repay what i owe under the same agreement? don't think so.
