sorry if this is the wrong forum for this, but
i had a water leak from the flat above while i was away for the weekend.
the guy left his washing machine on, went out for 3 hours, flooding
his flat & leaking to mine. the damage to my flat was quite extensive.
the building damage is covered by insurance, but damage to me personal
belongings (about 400GBP) is not covered.
i don't have personal content insurance, i own my flat, the flat above
is let through an agency.
what can i do to claim for damage to my personal belongings?
i've called the guys letting agent & they've not returned my calls (yet!).
can i claim off the letting agent, the renter or the landlord?
can i go to citizens advice bureau, lawyer, small claims court?
any ideas are welcome!!
