Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Just wondered when payment will be taken from my card for the penalty fare. It was paid on the spot with a debit card, but with an old fashioned machine which prints the card number onto a piece of paper which I assume they have to process in their head office at a later date.
It has now been 10 days since the fare was issued, how long will it take for it to be debited from my account. Seems like a long time for it to be taken.
If you pay using the old paper type it can take up to a month for them to debit payment. The voucher has to go to accounts (which can take a week/2 weeks), then it has to be processed by a human (another week).
