Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Bought a printer from QVC shopping channel just over a year ago. The warranty has now expired and there is a fault on the printer. They have offered another 12 months warranty for £54 so obviously they expect the machine to last this long.
Am i best writing to them quoting the sale of goods act and that they should repair or replace it?
Depends on what the fault is, normal wear and tear, cost of printer, etc... But generally speaking, yes, a printer should last more than 1 year, so insist on a repair or replacement under SOGA and don't let them fob you off with the "out of warranty" line.
Apologies to people who I was in the process of helping, I may be gone some time.
