I just wanted to ask everyone/anyone a few questions regarding previous searches.
I have recently sent letters out askingcompanies to remove credit searches that appear on my credit report.
Now, even If I know it is a legitimate search, but still want it removed, can I get it removed if they cannot prove to me that I asked them to do it? Even if I have actually got the credit facility that I applied for?
I'm asking this as I have had alot of my previous searches removed, but at present only the ones I wasn't 100% sure on.

I thought seeing as tho I has got my default, all previous markers, infact the entire record removed from Citifinancial just because they didn't have the correct paperwork in place to prove anything, I thought it would be good to find out if you could do the same with everything!

Obviously i'm trying this and have told, not that they cannot remove them, but they know that I know I asked for the search to be carried out, but as I mentioned, do they need to have proof of permission to search my credit file?????????????????

Just to let you know that if you send a letter querying a credit search (whether you know it should be there or not) it is possible (not with everyone) to get them removed, even if you got the credit you applied for!
I applied twice for a top up loan from Everyday loans, got declined 1st time and accepted the second sent a letter and they are now removing both credit searches from my report within the next 2 weeks!
Obviously I'm now trying to do it with everyone as previous searches also harm your credit report.
