Hi all,
I hope someone can advise me what to do next with my PPIclaim for Lloyds
.
Basically I took out a loan in 1998 which had PPI added to the total amount of credit. The PPI was 1221.1. This loan was consolidated into another loan later in the year and more PPI was added to the total amount for this loan for This PPI was 1836.18. I was not refunded any PPI from the earlier loan.
I have written two letters to Lloyds insurance and first they said I was not within the time limit (incorrect as my last payment was within 6 yearsand I have only found out that I was mis-sold recently) in their last letter they have commented on my points that I was not asked about pre-existing medical conditions and the fact I was soon to be self employed.
They have glossed over my main complaints (that the insurance was compulsary and that the ppi was added to the loan) these points were apparently addressed in their previous letter (where they just said I wasn't within the time limit).
I am not sure what to do now. Shall I raise it with the FO? or shall I try one last letter to lloyds?
Has anyone got any tips for the letter?
I want to make the points that:
I wasn't told the insurance was optional
The insurance was added to the loan as a lump sum
the first insurance premium wasnt refunded when I took out the 2nd loan
I want to put the legal reasons why these are not allowed.
Also one of my letters said I had 30 days to cancel but the latest letter said their was no cooling off period for loans before 2002, so it sounds like they are confused themselves!
If anyone could give me any tips for my final letter to lloyds I would be really greatful.
Thanks in advance
Claire
