Thread: £30 charge for going overdraft limit

Hi all, I just wanted some advice. Recently I have received a few letters from my bank informing me that as I had exceeded my overdraft limit, they were going to charge me £30.

Obviously, they did; but I'd like to know whether this is one of those cases where I might be able to claim the money back?

Any thoughts are greatfully received!

If this is your first charge, its always worth giving them a call, they will sometimes put it back into your account.

Its actually my 3rd :o. The first one, they were kind enough to let me off with. I've had two others since. And a horrible feeling there may be another one or two on the way. :o

In that case you should start a claim.
