I had a problem where i was allowed 30 Mins (No return in 1 hour) Free parking in a Tesco Car park in london, Situation was that i arrived around 30-40 mins from when i parked. When i looked at the ticket it had that i had parked longer than the maxium stay. So i examined the ticket closer and realised that on both the parking charge notice and the payment slip it had the correct From time which was : 12:10 but does not have a to time !! Also my father is the registered keeper and owner of the veichle but i am a named second driver on the insurance policy.
Firstly i would really really appreciate it if someone could tell me wether
1. Should i pay
2. Should i call them tomorow and discuss
3. Shall i just ignore them and inform my dad to ignore them too ??
Please help as its not fair charge a 18 year old broke student £70 (50 if paid .........) for being 0-10 mins late lmao !!
oh and they say they have cctv but im not 100% sure if it could see my car !!
Re: F****k Ticket from euro car parks at tescos !!
Hi I had a ticket from these people in a Tesco car park nearly two years ago, I wrote to them and said as far as I was concerned Tesco did not charge for parking and that I was actually shopping in the store at the time regardless of the time I spent in the store and have not had a word from them since. I am sure they cannot enforce the tickets they issue x
Re: F****k Ticket from euro car parks at tescos !!
I don't think this ticket is enforcable, as already pointed out. I seem to remember something in my local paper about Tesco car park operator (just been trying to look in archive - can't find it), but I'm sure it said something about them having to use their own judgement as to whether the car park was beeing used properly (ie: by customers to the store; no cheeky people parking in parent & child spaces when there's no child - a personal bugbear of mine ). I wouldn't worry, they'd have to prove they have grounds to persue the matter.
Just another example of the motorist being used as a cash cow IMO.

More a case of the motorist being [problem]med.
The sooner the likes of Tesco examine the legalities of Penalty Charges and the methods of enforcement they currently use , the better.

Re: F****k Ticket from euro car parks at tescos !!
I was in Tesco yesterday, and when I got back to my car, there was a hi-viz Nazi entering my reg into his little hand-held thingy. I'm just waiting for something to come through the post - I was in there for over 2 hrs (the joys of shopping with a 2 yr old!) and I think the max time `allowed` is 2 hrs stay. Kind of hope the boogers get in touch. I have a till receipt which came to £150 I dare them!
Re: F****k Ticket from euro car parks at tescos !!
i received a parking charge notice for being parked in a D.I.Y store car park in scotland from tps parking solutions ltd on the notice it said i was parked in the car park from 09:35 hrs to 06:48 hrs on 28th may this is clearly wrong as it is saying i have left the car park before i have arrived the times are the wrong way around, also i am the registered owner/keeper but i was not driving the car that day . do i need to pay these charges £75 if i pay within 14 days or £ 95 within 28 days. THANKS
