Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
1. Is the stated Traffic Management Act 2004 Part 6 up to date?
2. The alledged "contravention" is stating the car "parked with payment made to extend the stay beyond initial period".
i/ If you cannot park "twice" why would there be an initial period?
ii/ Why does the ticket not state the information of the ticket that was IN USE at the time with activated the "contravention"?
iii/ If no actual ticket was running on the car, surely the "contravention" is that of having no ticket?
3. When your parking ticket "expires", as does your contract to park there with the council, so to "extend the stay" there would need to be no gap between a first ticket and a second? A gap between would NOT show an extension, but a RENEWAL.
4. What signage is classed as "adequate"?. Between the car and the ticket machine, not ONE sign regarding the council RULES was shown. Non were forthcoming or out-standing on the machine either.
5. The ticket's for the car have mis-aligned printing and NO INFORMATION on them regarding the parking laws native to the city.
6. The HULL CITY COUNCIL website states 2 hour parking being charged at £2.15. The ACTUAL amount charged by the machine was £2.60 which contradicts the website (2005).
What do you folks think of this, leg lifting exercise?
