Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
New to the forum so a big hello to everyone. I recently received a pcn for overstaying my ticket. The bay is marked correctly but the only signs that were visable were ones that stated "pay at meter" or words to that effect. am I correct in thinking the parking times etc need to be displayed on a sign or are they ok just on the actual meter?
i am looking for some advice on a traffic penalty which has been sent to my old address which we moved from 7months ago, i have just discovered it today. the penalty has occured on 26/10/07 the last notice from them dated 29/3.08 threatining me that the case will go to court.
at the time although i have notified dvla about the change of address, it seems that while contrevention occourred my details has not been changed yet.
a few weeks ago i had sold the car but worried that they will find the address of the new owner and might collect the car from the street, or they might find our new address and i dont know what will happen.
i was thinking to get in-touch with the authortity who issued the ticket and offer the original penanalty charges and hope that will sort the problem.
i would really appreciate any advice.
Thanks
just to add to my previous letter. the penlaty was that the car stayed 1minute and 20 seconds in restricted parking area, which my wife remember to be adviced by passer by as she was trying to put some change in the machine that machine will not take money at that time.

reno can you explain this one a bit more clearly, was your wife at a pay and display machine which refused to take money.
Hi Nero,
yes she was. she was trying to insert changes when she was told by a lady that there is a camera during that specefic hours after 4.pm , so she drove away. the time diffirent between two photos is 1minute and 20.
