    Default A&L Default

    Hello all, looking for a little advice if poss.

    I have a complaint with A&L outstanding re bank charges and like everyone else am waiting for the final outcome of the OFT case in the Courts.

    My question is this. A&L defaulted me approximately 12 months ago and although I have argued that they should not have defaulted me with regards to a disputed debt, A&L have refused to remove the default.

    It now appears likely that the banks will be given leave to appeal to High Court's decision and given that if an appeal is heard then the whole issue is likely to drag on on for many more months, is there anything that I can do to get this default removed pending the outcome of the cases?

    Probably not at this stage. I was going to suggest you added a note to the CRA files to say this was all charges you were reclaiming however that would probably flag you as a bank charges activist and put other lenders off anyway.

    Nat West Bus Acct £1750 reclaim - WON

    LTSB Bus Acct £1650 charges w/o against o/s balance - WON

    Halifax Pers Acct £1650 charges taken from benefits - WON

    LTSB Pers Acct - £2K charges, £1K o/d - Rob Way latest DCA

    DCAs

    Lowells/Capital One - no CCA - gone away £1500
    Lowells/MBNA - no CCA - gone away £10K
    Abbey - no CCA - £3.5K
    CL Finance - 3 court claims re GE storecards 2 withdrawn, 1 hanging by a thread
    Hillesden/DLC re Barclaycard - ongoing battle re validity of CCA - £3.5K
    Clydesdale - charges more than balance - valid CCA:o - onto 4th DCA so far
    LTSB card - £7K - no CCA - destroyed after 6 years! - latest DCA - AIC

    Others

    GE Money sec loan - £1900 in charges - settlement agreed
    GE Money sec loan - ERC of £2.5K valid for 15 years - on standby
    FirstPlus - missold PPI of £20K for friends - WON
