Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I had a accident in March, some idiot was speeding and hit me head on after owning my car for 16 hours! I was not a happy chappy!
When I phoned norwich union they were pretty quick at getting my car repaired, but on picking it up I was shocked when I had to pay £770 excess which I did not know about!
When I phoned the call centre to take out my policy the guy on the end of the phone said I will make this policy has cheap as I can for you, not knowing the excess was a stupid amount.
I phoned them again this afternoon as I have heard nothing about the claim asking them when can I be expecting my excess back they informed me I cant claim it back as I had no legal cover. (When taking out the policy nothing about legal cover was mentioned) They said if I want it back I need to hire my own legal people to get the excess back! Im so angry as right now I need that excess money.

The details of the amount of excess will be included on your policy schedule.
You are entitled to your excess back as an uninsured loss from the other parties insurers, as you don't have legal cover this is not something that we are able to do for you. The best I can suggest is that you contact the other insurers and see what they can do for you.
I'm sorry this is not the answer you wanted.
