    Default Is there anyway I can take it back?

    I got a new car back in March but had a few problems and need a way to hand the car back, Is there any way to give it back due to only having it less than 6 months? it is a known fact that the car has problems with leaks and it is a common fault, we paid £1000 Deposit I guess that is lost but still it is costing £426 pcm and I cannot to afford it no longer, please help what are my options?

    You certainly can't return it because you can't afford it, that should have been looked at before you made the purchase.

    Your only recourse is if the car is unmercantable or not fit for purpose in which case the deposit would not be lost.

    if it had a leak and it is a known fault with them then can I take it back up to 6months

    You would be lucky if it was taken back, a leak doesnt make the car unmerchantable if it is repairable.

    You have nothing to lose by trying.

    If the car is on finance and you are prepared to cut your losses as seems like you are, then inform the finance company and ask for permission to sell it.
