I've recently booked a holiday for my friends who haven't got a credit card,when booking I used my name as the guest in error.As soon as i had finished i noticed the problem, e-mailed and phoned the company.They have told me there is a chance I will have to cancel the holiday and re-book in the proper names.
I will forfeit the holiday cost of £290.
surely a name change does not cause this much problems ,airlines will change the name for flights for an admin. fee. Should ask the hotel for help ?

Are you indeed going on the holiday ?
Look at the airlines terms and conditions, under name changing, there will be a fee for this change...
If you are all travling then no cancellation is required, just slight changes.
There terms and conditions should give you more hindsight to your circumstances.
