I feel I'm being ripped off by Qatar Airways - can I attempt a chargeback? Help please!
Back in March I booked a restricted flight with Qatar Aiways going to India from London on the 1st September and returning on the 1st October.
My circumstances have now changed and I need to change the dates. After calling them - assuming they would have a sensible system in place to help me out - I have been told that to change the dates there would be a charge of £100 for the outbound as well as £100 for the inbound! The original price of the flight was £350 and although I don't mind paying a £100 charge, I think charging for each way is ott! To compound my misery, they also said they would have to re-price the flight (even though it would stil be restricted) and I'm looking at another £200 on top of that! I think that is way over the top as the flights are still 3 1/2 months away.
Altogether, a £350 flight turns into a £750 one and there is no refund policy on this flight; basically they're trying to bully me into a corner. They won't budge and I've considered refering it to my debit card company Lloyds TSB Visa to see if they can help.

That's the price you pay for choosing a cheap ticket. If you want/need the facility to change dates/times then you have the option of purchasing a fully flexible ticket, however as you are no doubt aware at a much higher cost.
