    Default PBs wife v Mint

    Hi folks,
My wife has reveived a letter from Triton Credit Services, who are apparently acting on behalf of Mint, who they say is their 'client', threatening legal action. I'm sure they are part of Mint. Mint owe my wife more than she owes them. Anyway, after lots of phone callsicon (very frustrating and to no avail) Mint are now saying that we have to deal with Triton. Mint phoned this morning to offer half of the charges (so much for Triton then). My wife declined. We didn't exactly follow the CAG route with this one but it is my opinion that we should now make a claim. Could anyone confirm that Triton are part of Mint? Mint consistently deny this. And also, should we start filling in the N1 or write a letter before actionicon first (they have already told us that half is the final offer). Advice welcome.
    Best regards,
    Paul

TBH I'd follow the timeline and letters from the CAGicon templates libraryicon. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk...lates-library/

Triton Credit Services are The Royal Bank of Scotlandicon's in-house collections, so yes they're also part of Mint

Before I found CAG I was really indecisive. Now I'm not so sure...!

I would also advise that you stop talking on the phone to them. In future do everything in writing, keep everything and make a copy of everything you send to them.

If they continue to call you, sent the harrassment letter.

If its a case of charges then persue it via the standard procedure and you'll likely get a refund around the time of receiving your allocation questionnaireicon.

Very interesting to know that Triton are inhouse collections for RBSicon, that will come in useful - as my unenforceable issue relating to a CCA will no doubt be passed to them.
