Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I started the ball rolling today by sending a Data Protection Act letter requesting my statements for an account which I have with the RBS. :o
It was my main current account for years and they made a pretty penny from me, which is why I moved bank. I reckon they owe me thousands. Can't wait to get the statements in.
The account is still open, but I only use it to pay a loan from. They wouldn't let me close it and pay the loan direct, so they need to keep the account open, which will probably **** them off even more.
Anyway, we'll see what happens.
Thanks to everyone who has posted on this site so far . It makes it easier knowing that you're not alone in all this.
