Default Capital Fun PPI and HM Forces

Currently I am having issues with cap oneicon, please see this thread.
    http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk...ml#post1520855

However it has come to my attention that I may have been incorrectly sold PPIicon, which has cost me @£10 a month.

Being in the military I have no need for PPI, CapOne are aware of my current career and should understand that I dont really have risk of unemployment for medical reasons etc, without long term notice.

I am posting here to request some advice in reply to this response on my other thread.

Theres almost £300 in charges, which is almost half my current debt. Additionally I realised I was paying @ £10 in payment protection insurance, surly that should of helped in this situation?

I'll be honest I dont know much about PPI, alittle research showed it covers me if I cant work - I didnt want this, I get paid 365 days a year whether I work or not, and if the military sack me I would hopefully have some notice, is this recoverable. -
PPI for serving members of HM forces is pretty pointless, so I would say it was mis-sold, see the PPI forum for more help,

My research shows this is meant to be optional, however I never recall asking for it, in fact when its offered I usually catagorically decline for aforemention reasons.

Best if you start a new threadicon in the PPI forum, that way you will get the right assistance.

Thanks for any assistance that can be offered.:?

    hi dj1898,
write to crap 1 stating you were missold this policy, also have you got your credit finance agreement and a copy of the PPIicon policy.
this will be the first step, and believe me crap 1 will deny everything.
