Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Whilst walking round a local town I noticed that a parking bay was marked out with two solid lines at each end, with continous broken white lines for its full length.(Approx 30m)
There was a restriction plate on a pole in the street.
This bay seems to be a mixture parking bay and a bay with spaces.
What is the rules and regulation for all on street parking bays, eg Disabled, residents parking bays etc.
What authority(Law) does it need to apply a parking bay to the highway?
Thankyou for the above.
I have found what I need from the DOT, the drawings are in the P 1028 Series.
Whilst trawling about I found the newspaper article which is worth reading
Seems like all Council CEO' think they are always correct when they get caught out.
Brilliant, Disabled bays a few inches shorter than specified in the TRSGD that means anyone can park in them and claim its ok. What a victory for joe public and Mr Ashford!! What is his next campaign wrong shade of yellow paint on school zig zags?
The piant for lines etc should be to BS381C, either 335 or 309 if it aint then its not legal.
If the parking bays do not meet the required laid down dimensions they are also illegal, and CEO's sticking thier heads in the sand and refusing to comply is acting ultra vires. Like a big child having a tantrum.
I recon these wayward Clown Hall folk may have thier day in court but they will not like Prison Food.
Yet again I will quote from Hansard,
" The law is sacrosant and should be obeyed. "
