Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have been trying to encourage a friend to claim back her charges but she is in such a state that she is terrified of what the RBS will do if she starts to fight them. Can anyone tell me so i can tell her what she can expect from the rbs . i know that is impossible to know what they will do next but any advise would be most welcome. I know once i get her to start fighting back her confidence will grow
Open a "parachute" Account, infact if your friend goes to any of the banks and informs them she would like to transfer all her banking to them, if they can match what she currently has with RBS, most banks these days will rip her arm off to get her custom.
So she would have a new fresh account, possible that the new bank will match all her services, such as overdraft, debit card, cheque book etc...
Then she should claim her charges back and tell RBS to politely .... off.
Thanks
