Thread: Store Card & PPI

I have been in dispute with St udio C ards over having no signed agreement & mis-sold PPI

The lack of agreement is straight forward & I have stopped paying them.

The PPI claim is a bit more complex, they state that the insurance was agreed over the phone, despite numerous requests they cannot prove the call or the content - there is no recording.

Both they & the fos state as this agreement was signed before 2005 that the FOS cannot act in the matter.

They were not a member of the General Insurance Standards Council and are therefore not bound by their standards of behaviour.

Any ideas how I get these robbin barstewards to cough up what has been obtained through a [problem]?

You'd like to thinks so wouldn't you, however they just stone wall, stating we have investigated and have have done nothing wrong. I suspect they will make me pay the money for the court fee and then fold.

Hello Conar,

These companies as you know, will ignore you hoping that you will go away. How much are you reclaiming, it may be well worth the court fee, to see then squirm and pay up.:grin: Then they may take you seriously,

Have they been harassing you and have they defaulted you by any chance:grin: More fuel to your fire

They folded on everything except refunding charges & the PPI. I stopped paying 2 months ago and am waiting for them to start court proceedings.

If it goes on too long I'll initiate the court case
