Hi Everyone,
I believe I was mis-sold PPIfrom First Plus, and taking the excellent advise posted in this forum requested and promptly received my SORN data including the tapes.
Strange thing is that the conversation that involved what I believe was miss-selling of the PPI insurance is missing.
I received 2 sets of tapes covering 2 separate loan agreements.
The second tape contains the first recorded conversation with their loan advisor for my second First Plus loan. During this conversation there are a number of references to the previous conversion that we had, I am heard saying "when we spoke last you mentioned.. etc.."
I recall the first conversation well, during which the advisor said things like:-
Does anyone have any advise, where do I stand without a recording of the first message during which the PPI insurance was mis-sold
- I need you to take the PPI to get this loan through.
- Taking the PPI will work in your favour because it enables us to significantly reduce the settlement balance on the previous loan.
- Explained that all my payments will be paid back to me after 5 yrs but not explain that this was only a 5yr insurance term that I would be paying interested on insurance amount, almost £20,000 for the next 25yrs. I recall saying to the advisor "so this works much like a savings plan then" to which he replied yes.
Many Thanks.
Richard
