    Default Help with PPI please

I have payment protection insurance with a few companies that I took out ages ago covering both sickness/disability and redundancyicon

I originally made a claim because I was made redundant, however these were rejected by all the companies because I was also sick/disabled.

So I had to fill in new forms and my redundancy claims were rejected because I wasnt looking for work.

Getting them to pay out and on a regular basis has been a nightmare, with certificates lost if they werent sent recorded delivery and misfiled too.
In at least one instance this has lead to a equifax blacklist for 6 yearsicon that I havent got round to dealing with.

These by the way have all now expired on the disability as they only coughed up for 1 year

I contacted the various companies as I am hoping after my operation next month I will be able to work.

They have told me I cant claim!!!!!!

I did not pay for redundancy or disability/sickness PPIicon I have paid for both

    Can I claim disability discrimination????

    Anything I can do????

It appears some of the terms and conditionsicon have changed since I took out the policies, however it appears they omitted to inform me!!!!!

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Hello and Welcome,

Sorry to hear of your troubles, I would deem that they sold you a worthless policy that you can not claim on, that is what they want. They took the money and when you needed to claim on it, you could'nt. Did they discuss your health with you

I would be writing complaints to the Financial Services Authority, Office of fair trading and trading standards about these companies.

Maybe pick through them one by one, Send a full SARicon, you will find the template letter in the stickies on the ppi forum. Get the information that you need and start the reclaiming process.

Shout if you need to know anythng

If any of my posts are helpful, please feel free to click my scales. All information is given as my opinion only, based on my own personal experiences. I have no legal training, but have educated myself in aspects of consumer legislation. My motto "NEVER GIVE IN, NEVER SURRENDER", THERE IS A WAR ON YOU KNOW
