Thread: Received over £100 in refunds today

last month i had to go out of the country for for awhile, i was in such a rush that i forgot to schedule my credit card payments. On returning I had amounted over £100 in charges!!. Thanks to this site, i phoned up all of the credit card companies today, and after reading them the info i gained here, everyone of them credited the charges back to my account, stating that it was "a goodwill gesture", funny that, I remember asking before, when i had forgot to pay by the due date, but was given short shrift. Thanks for all the help, and I have today fired off 4 requests for info under the Data protection act. I will keep you informed of my progress.

The CC companies I received the charges back are not listed here, so I hope that I have done right by posting here, if not, then give me a clue as to where to post.
I have today received the statement from Morgan Stanley, and Halifax card services, because of my insistence that they refund my charges, both of them have informed me that my interest rate has been increased, from 15.5% to 21%, and 16.9% to 24%!!! respectively. They have not said that this is the reason, but the bank of England rate has not increased, so this is the only conclusion I can come to.
