The OFT set the intervention threshold at £12, but £16 for Egg.
The lawful charge level was not decided by the OFT, it can only be decided by a court, and the OFT has been at pains to say the same. Egg has been at pains not to go to court. Egg will make a prescripted show of resisting a claim for refund, but will accede and refund 100% if you persist knowledgeably, i.e. send a template letter proven successful dozens of times and known to Egg by heart -- in Egg Forum stickies section.
