Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Me and my girlfriend moved into a flat above a shop in the town centre...
As there is no carpark, We had to buy a permit.
we were told the permit allowed us to park any of the resident permit spaces around town marked 'zone a'
So we find a small row of spaces nearby with a sign saying zone a
We parked there everyday for the first week,
but on the sunday we get a pcn from the Wycombe county council...
the sign says:
'(A)
Resident Permit holder Parking Only
Mon-Sat 9am-5pm
Sun 12noon-4pm
20min only
no Return within 1 hour'
This is very ambiguous.. We assumed that Permit holders can park there anytime, but non-permit holders can only park 20mins?
thanks if anyone could give any kind of advice? or if they reckon we can appeal??
Re: Help please! ticket for parking in resident zone
Yeh, it was on display
oops, well I don't have the ticket on me, it was the girlfriend's car, but apparently it was on Sun at 12:24, for parking in a residents parking area with an invalid permit.
and the car had been observed for 10minutes...
Re: Help please! ticket for parking in resident zone
A 19 is usually for an incorrectly completed, wrong VRM or an expired permit. I would contact the Council and enquire why the PA issued the ticket then you will know if its worth appealing.
Re: Help please! ticket for parking in resident zone
My girlfriend spoke to them yesterday, apparently those spaces are just for residents in the houses there for unloading shopping etc, and you can't perk there more than 20min
the sign says:
'(A)
Resident Permit holder Parking Only
Mon-Sat 9am-5pm
Sun 12noon-4pm
20min only
no Return within 1 hour'
does that mean that even though I am a permit holder, Im only allowed to park there for 20minutes, is that what the ticket is for?
The sign is unclear in my opinion?
I thought it read to mean if you are not a permit holder, you can't park longer than 20min
?
Parked in residents’ or shared use parking place or zone displaying an invalid permit or invalid voucher or an invalid pay and display ticket.
20-4-08 time 12.24 observed from 12.13
thanks alot for any help

thanks for all your help!
If you were only observed for 11 min and you are allowed to park for 20 min, exactly what contravention has taken place???? or am I missing something here??
