There is a more subtle way to approach this and which can cause considerably more embarrasement for the bank.

If you inform FD, do you think anything will be done or the other customer will be informed?

The other way to handle it is to write a letter to the other custmer explaining what has happened and giving a contact detail for yourself. Do not inform the bank at all.

On the basis that you don't have the address of that customer, put your note in an envelope and address the envelope to that customer , account number, care of fd. Make it clear that the envelope is for a customer.

Mark it extremely private and confidential. Send the envelope to the bank by special delivery. It would be illegal for the bank to open the letter. It should be passed on to the other customer by the bank.
