I take it that as there was tyre wear, this was a used car.

What is the year and mileage of the car?

Am I correct in reading you took the car back 14 months later because the tyre was worn

Whatever I post is my opinion and should be taken as such, an opinion. While it is what I believe and is offered in good faith, it should not be taken as a statement of truth

That's what I'm reading as well and thought I'd read it wrong.

    Let me try.

When you say '5 gear', do you mean 5th gear or the whole 5 speed gearbox?

The starter motor wont be covered, internet prices are different to dealer prices. The one you saw on the internet, was it new or rebuilt and was it a genuine factory unit?

What make and model of car is it?

No need to be so touchy mate - I wasn't making fun of you, just expressing my difficulty in reading your thread and making sense of it. I could have been accused of making fun of you had I actually known you were dyslexic, which I obviously didn't.

I am not the only one to have a problem with the way some people post. See here for example.

Perhaps a short note at the beginning explaining your condition might give readers a bit more inclination to read what you have posted.
