Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have recently received a parking ticket from Brittania Parking for parking in a plymouth car park without enough time purchased. Now the Sign said that "all night" parking was £5 so I payed it and displayed ticket correctly. Come to my car the next day and I have a ticket issued at 11:15 at night sayibng I hadn't purchased an over night ticket. I bought the ticket 16:30 and after looking at the ticket when I paid my $5's it only took it to 6.
This I can only assume means that you pay till 6 then you have to £5 if you want to stay overnight. There was nothing obvious on the sign with regards to this just "over night £5" plastered everywhere no mention of paying after 6.
I have read the templates and as far as I'm aware they have no case anyway for a £60 fee but should I contact them first? templates say not. Should I mention the paid ticket etc.?
Try that line then, saying you purchsed an overnight ticket in good faith etc, and that the signs do not insist that you purchase a ticket for the period before 6pm, also does it state what time you have to leave in the morning.
