I have just received my statements from Barclaycard, fairly promptly, however the accompanying letter states that they have only enclosed the last 5 years as the rest is held on microfiche, and so this is all they have available to send to me. Most of my charges occurred 6-7 years ago. Do I have the right to access statements from that long ago? If so is there a template reply i can use anywhere, and should i wait and claim together or begin a claim for the statements i have.....or should i just accept that it was a long time ago and they really dont have access to the info any more? I have read so many threads trying to find out i am going dizzy!
Any help very much appreciated
Did you send them the SAR from this site - if so, they should have sent back all your a/c state's. The guff about Microfiche is rubbish but they now normally send the older state's anyway.
If you SAR'd them properly, send them a non-compliance ltr for the missing info.

Hi Slick,
Thankyou for replying, this site has been invaluable for support and information. Was hoping yourself or someone could further clarify.....
I had SAR'd them prior to recieving the statements, which on closer inspection does include the past 6(not 5, sorry!) years and some apparently from microfilm as 'a goodwill gesture' however the letter states that these statements are all the information they hold. Does this mean i cant request and claim from statements beyond 6 years?
Thankyou,
All help is really appreciated
Jo
