hi all wonder if anyone can give me a hand trying to get a default notice removed?? late feb this year i went over my limit on card was sent a letter saying it was £50 over limit so i paind £150 pound went away on holiday till mid march and some other uncleared payments took my card to £200 over its limit i was sent 2 letters and a statement saying next payment was due by 9th april on 6th paid £210 bringing my account under its limit and only to get a letter that day saying i had defaulted and a default had been pit on my account ??? i found this extremly harsh considering it was only a matter of 6wks!! before they put a default on my account and i didnt miss any payments, asked them to remove it and they point blank said no but they would note that my default was settled and up to date, dont know what to do have read i can pay off the account then as my contract has ended and longer running ask for it to be removed under certain laws?? anybody got any ideas whats my best plan of attack??
thanks
plus also forgot to say i had to leave the country for 4weeks after i made the 1st payment as my grandma had a serious stroke in the caribbean and didnt return till late march ,brought a letter back from hospital for insurance purposes so i couldnt reply to the two letters i got from them after!!
