Thread: Hi from a newbie

Hey everyone,Ive just joined tonight..wow what a website,there is light at the end of the tunnel.

I had a Egg CC for 8 years and they have defaulted on me a few weeks back as i cant afford the repayments, i did write to them and explain my situation and offer a payment i could afford but there not interested.

There asking for £3400 and have passed it to a collector.

After recieving my statements for the last 8 years i have worked out the charges at £1400 or so including the 8% interest..I have written to them asking for this money back.

Is it true that i can only claim charges for the last six years ? and what are my chances of getting the cash back or will they take it off the amount I owe them..or am i screwed because of the default notice.
