Hi,I have an 11 month old Peugeot 207 Sport 1.6 and the tyres have gone bald arround the edges on the front tyres. I have had it assessed by Peugeot and they tell me that it is a tracking problem. This is not covered by warrenty so I have to shell out for new tyres on a brand new!!I have seen this problem on 1 othet 207 which was the same age, make and model in Preston. If anyone else has this problem please can you contact me on mike.newsome@tiscali.co.u kThis may be a one off but If not many voices are better than one.Regards,Mike.
Unfortunately it is not limited to Peugeot. Every car in the world can suffer from their tracking being out. This is a normal wear and tear complaint and will never be covered by any warranty.
Tracking misalignment can be caused by wear in the suspension system or bushes (not likely in your case), bumping curbs or just going around corners a little too fast.
If it is both edges that you are talking about then that will be due to underinflation.
