Talking Egg and my big Ds!

Well, i will try to summarise my Eggicon saga:

Converted credit card to loan as was struggling to meet payments.

Loan was defaulted and sent to Arc DCAicon.

Despite Egg providing an agreement, i managed to shake off Arc.

Inbetween all this fosicon finalised the reclaiming of charges from the card account.

Egg re-activiated my online account and they voluntarily asked for a monthly payment of just under £30 that i was happy with.

Payments have been made on time for a good few months.

Received credit file. One has a continued line of Ds on it, the other shows a D as the most recent marking, with numbers descending from 4 prior to that.

I have emailed Egg to ask them to explain their reasons for this as i feel it is an unfair reflection as to how i am managaing the account now.

I will post up their response when i get it

    Will do, Steven.

I've only quickly skipped through my Eggicon they sent in response to my SARicon last year and i haven't come across a default notice yet. I need to focus on HFC at the minute as that involves court action, but going for default removal altogether may be an option for me on this acc.

I have had a couple of responses from Eggicon regarding the credit file entries. In essence, because the loan was defaulted that info will remain on the file for 6 yearsicon - ok, i expected that. This is the bit i don't know about - because the loan is defaulted, regardless of whether i'm making the agreed contractual payments or not, payments will not be registered on my file until the default has expired.

Is this correct? If so, i may write to the agencies and ask for a note to at least be added to say i am making regular monthly repayments. If nothing else, it will make me feel better!

There's no escaping the effects of falling into debt is there?

~I've no idea if it's correct, I'm afraid. You could write - I'm sure they can add whatever comments they want.
