Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have just inadvertantly made a reservation on the aboutflights.co.uk website.
I was trying to get a Full and final costing for some flights and i entered some details (name, address, tel no) in order to get to the final costing screen. I didn't think this would be a problem as many websites require some details before they will give full costings. Anyway, I entered my details and clicked "proceed" only to find myself confronted with a "thank you for your booking" page giving me a booking ref no etc.
At no time was i given a "confirm" option where details would be recapped and total costs given which from my experience is the norm when booking things online. I haven't given any payment details and as soon as i realised what had happened i clicked on the "cancel booking" radio button which was displayed below my confirmation.
I wondered if anyone knew where i stand in this situation as it is not a booking i wish to confirm i was only trying to get a final price.
