Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
For the past 15 months my husband and i have had to find £152 a month to pay for a loan which has PPI on it, we have done everything we should send sick forms etc etc, he is awaiting an operation for disc removal but we are covered under the ppi, as they do pay it eventually, its just we have to pay the £152 on the date the loan is due then wait 5 working days to get our money back, just lately ive noticed it has taken more like 10 days to get it back, yes cancel the direct debit i thought, i did this and still they take the money only not on the day its due later, so we then get charged £25 for paying it late from our bank, plus if there is not enough money in the bank to cover it we get bank chargers for going over agreed overdraft, i really cant see how this can be right, afterall dont you get ppi so you dont have to worry about it if anything happens, what do i do, who do i go through if i have a case which im pretty sure i do
Re: Lloyds ppi but still have to make loan payments??
Lisa mum2three,
Do you have a copy of your consumer credit agreement and the terms and conditions of the PPI?
If you do, I would check out to see if there is anything about timings on payments when you submit a claim.
If they are not meeting their obligations within the CCA or the terms then you can complain to the various authorities Financial Services Authority and Financial Ombudsman Service about their behaviour.
You will find some information on the various authorities in here: links
