    Default pinoyadobo vs halifax

    Hi,

I'm about to send in an lbaicon to Halifaxicon. I have just received a letter from them offering a partial payment of 420 against my original claim of £2040

However, I made a mistake in my original claim amount as it only goes back to 2003, I have a feeling there will be much more. Can I request additional charges to be added to my total claim in the LBA ? Or should I forget it now since I already stated the amount £2040 in my preliminary letter.

    Thanks all.

I would write your lbaicon. Explain that you have found further charges for an earlier period and add them to the other total. Still give them 14 days.

    Good luck

That's the way - just amend the letter before actionicon to show you now have a new total.

No need to extend any time limits either, just as the post above says.

    Best of luck

Question 2 Offers?? What now? Help

    I need help please...

The first letter that I received from Halifaxicon offered me a "goodwill gesture" of £407 which I accepted as preliminary payment, but also told them that I will still carry on with the claim for the full amount. I gave them 14 days to respond, which they failed to do. So last on Thurs I filed the claim. However just 5 mins ago I received a letter from them that they are willing to offer me £1300 as a Full and finalicon settlement. Does this mean that they are not going to pay the £407 I accepted as a "good will gesture"?

    Im confoosed! :?

Default Do I write back to them before court date??

Halifaxicon has given me 2 offers of payment

1st - £407 ( I accepted as initial payment but not full payment)
    2nd - £1300

Do I write to them again and refuse ( I was going to anyway) ? Or shall I just wait until the court date?

    Thanks

Don't bother writing, file at court 14 days after your lbaicon, it's the best way of telling them you've refused their offer.

To clarify, they are not offering two payments, but this doesn't matter now anyway.

Also, be careful with the timescales you allow for settlement. Prelim and lbaicon both give 14 days.
