Thread: I never asked Cap 1 for ppi.

I have recently been looking through my finances again and have been charged by Cap 1 for PPI, which I never asked for, I have a copy of the form that I clearly have ticked the No box.(they sent it with my S.A.R - (Subject access request) from my bank charges claim!!)
I took the card out in 2002
I was a 'homemaker' at the time of applying, so there is no way I would of agreed over the phone either, (which I have read a few people on here have been told)
The trouble is I have not always been up to date with payments, would this affect my claim?
I'm so confused by this whole thing, will they also ask why I haven't enquired about it before, --to be honest I really don't know why I haven't,
Also should I cancel it now or wait for them to reply.

I don't think it will affect your claim - it really has nothing to do with it - if you clearly have not requested PPI, I would invoke their complaints procedure and ask for the money to be repaid. How much do you think they've taken from you over the years?
