    Default Barclays- Providian

    Hi all, I had a providian credit card 3 years ago which i paid in full an cancelled. During my time with them i incurred quite a few charges. I do not have any statements or contact details for them anymore. Will i be able to claim back charges? If so can anyone provide me with there contact details. Thanks

    Hi Sentfrom and Welcome to CAGicon.

    It would help if you had an old state't for the a/c which would confirm the a/c no.

    You can certainly reclaim any penalty chgs which you paid on the a/c.

    I'll check around about Barclaysicon/Providian card to come up with an address.

    Hi again,

    Providian, then Monument and then Barclaycard is what I've found from other threads.

    In which case you can send BC an S.A.R - (Subject access requesticon). Read link 1 below (Reclaiming Chgs Guide) in my signatureicon.

    Spend time reading the guide and looking around the forum to see what goes on.

    When you're ready, send SARicon enclosing fee to:-

    BARCLACARD
    PO Box 5592
    NORTHAMPTON
    NN14 1ZY

    If you have no a/c no., give them all you can to help identify the a/c, eg:-

    - The Card type (Providian, Monument, Visa, Mastercard..........)

    - Date from which you had card to date you closed a/c

    - All addresses you were at during this period which would confirm they have the correct a/c dets.

    Be warned they may try and fob you off if you have no a/c no. so it really is worth checking to see if you can find anything with it on.

    Take time to find your way around and come back with any queries.
