My three Egg icon

PPIs paid out for a period of illness back in 2004 ( a serious neck problem) but I now have an unrelated condition which I have suffered from for several years due to some very tragic circumstances and the insurance company say that as it was a pre-exixting condition they will not pay this claim. This loan was taken out in October 2001 and i was not informed about or asked about medical conditions or pre-existing illness. Do i have any grounds to claim back on these PPIs?

Have you asked for your original CCA and/or PPI icon

documents to check what exactly you signed for?

No they were all done on the internet.

Even so, if you request a copy of your CCA (whether done on the internet or not) it will show all the details of what you signed up for and the terms and conditions icon

of the PPI icon

when you signed it, including whether pre-existing conditions were precluded.

Send a full Subject access request icon

for all the information they hold on you including CCA, Contracts etc etc

Full S.A.R - (Subject access request) for PPI Fee of £10 is required for SAR. If this does not give you what you require then complain to

Ensuring Personal Data is handled correctly - Data Protection Act

then its Office of Fair Trading, Financial Ombudsman icon

Service and Financial Services Authority or Court and not necessarily in that order..
