    Unhappy warranty/service problems

Hi im new to the site, can anyone help me

I bought a bmw323ci in June and a extended 3 year warranty, and had it serviced at a bmw dealership in late october.

A few days ago the stabiliser bar (i think that is what it is - it connects the wheel to the main body of the car, off the hub to the body) snapped.

had to have the car towed to bmw. When they inspected the car they
say that it was a old fracture and was rusted, therefore the warranty does not cover the cost. Surely if it was an old fracture then they should have picked this up on the service?

I have been told by bmw that this has damaged the brakes, handbrakes, bearings, wheel etc the list goes on, at a cost of £1400. Surely either bmw or the warrantly company are liable, can anyone help or advise me how to proceed?

    Hi lambo and welcome.

If the warranty company did not examin the car before issuing a policy on it then this is the risk they must take.
They have the chance to examin before issue of the policy and add clauses into it if they want, they choose not to so they have accepted the risk.

Now having said that, have you read the policy and are there any exclusions of this nature in it?

lambo when was the MoT carried out and is there any advisory?
