Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Now, I'm not normally going to complain about not receiving letters from our nice Banks [!], but, having accepted Barclaycruds offer of £20 less than my £240 charges request, they have now decided to not only not pay up, but to totally ignore my letters asking why as well. They offered me this amount and requested my Bank details for payment, I wrote back informing them that, as I had stated in my initial letter, I would only accept payment by cheque [ it is a closed account ]. It seems I will now be filing in Court but, having previously accepted this offer will that effect my claim?
Just wondering if they may have offset the refund against anything else you owe the Barclays Group.
If not, write to BC and give them a 14 day deadline. Confirm that they made an offer which you accepted and you require their cheque in settlement as agreed.
Tell them you'll make a formal complaint to the fos as well.
If they do not pay up, file your claim at your local county court.

not sure if there are any Groups anywhere that I dont owe!! :o
Seriously though, I suppose they are just waiting because there is no deadline as such and, as we know, they like to think that they have the upper hand, but thanks to CAG, we dont just roll over anymore.
So its time to set a deadline!
As for the fos we are almost on first name terms now!
Joking aside, do you owe anything on any other Barclays cards or Barclays bank a/cs. They have the right to "offset" any refund against other Barclays debts .
