Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I will be in the next couple of days be submitting my POC for a claim against GE Money to reclaim PPI charges and interest applied to my Wife's storecard account, however before I do, can I ask a MOD (Alan if you have a spare couple of minutes ) to have a quick read of it.
I'm hesitant to post it on a public forum as I know GE Money read this website.
Point taken, however there is a considerable amount of account specific Information contained with in the POC which if removed would not give the full picture of my claim.
I'm not disputing the worth of posting a draft document in such a forum for discussion, however I do not want to give GE Money advance warning of our court claim.
GE Money have told me that they monitor this website as well as MSE so as you can appreciate I have to be rather careful what i release in to the public domain.
Bump - any assistance from a MOD would be greatly appreciated

Court papers were hand delivered to our local Combined Court 11/03/08 and were deemed to have been served to the defendant 13/03/08. We received today, notice that Salans who are acting on behalf of GE Money, have filed an acknowledgement of service and are defending the claim.
We have claimed back 2k in unlawful charges and received an offer of half within three days of issuing the claim in court. Not enough though - am holding out for the full amount

HI, I am new to this site and you sound like you know what you are doing. For my sins I have had many store cards with Ge bank over the years, 2 still in use. I wrote to Ge Bank to complain, they cancelled my PPI but they denied mis-selling. I sent a second letter and they advised i complain to the fos who wrote to me to advise they cannot help. i am angry with GE bank as I feel they led me a merry dance, any help will be very grateful.

Hi SAB, just to let you know that GE have made me a second offer - it has gone up from 1k to 1.5k - I am thinking about it. I am sure you will be hearing from them soon.
Hi Bigbetty and welcome to CAG. I would suggest that you could reclaim the PPI payments and interest that has been charged on them, but knowing GE it will be some fight. We are actually using mis-sold PPI as a counterclaim against proceedings they have issued against us. If you do decide to give it a go you need to start your own thread and you will get specific advice to your claim. Best of luck.
