Could anyone please help? I have a few questions regarding HP with Black Horse
My partner has HP with Black Horse and the last payment is due in August. However, a few months ago due to changing jobs he made 2 late payments and has been charged a total of £58.
Black Horse has advised us that this will be payable at the end of the agreement.
As these charges are said to be unlawful, should we pay them or refuse??
Also, I myself have recently taken out Car Finance with Black Horse. Would refusing to pay these charges have any affect on my own agreement?
They are both in separate names but the same address.

Absolutely calm them back; it's up to you how you do it, personally I would pay them tehn start the calim process like the bank's one. Might be worth calling them first and having a polite convo, explaining that the charges are unlawful as far as you are concerned and ask them if they wil still apply them. Just make them aware taht you will claim them back if they are applied which could involve the repayment of costs and also interest. They might refund them then, it would cost them less!!

As far as I am aware, no they can't! if it was a joint accout they might be able to, but legally your husband's agreement has nothing to do with yours!!
