Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
So, I sent off my S.A.R - (Subject access request) with a cheque and Egg have sent back a wad of statements for me to work with. I've been through and highlighted all the charges which come to a total of £332 the earliest being Feb-05.
Do I also get to add on interest they've charged me on these charges and if so how do I go about working it out?
Each statement has a:
MERCHANDISE INTEREST AT [interest amount] PER MONTH on it. Thanks,
You can add the interest they charged you on the charges straight away. What scott says is true for interest under s69 of teh county Coutrs Act 1984 which you add onto both when you file in court.

Thanks for the replies. It was the interest they've charged me I was trying to work out. I used the advanced spreadsheet from the link above in the end which worked a treat.
I have sent the prelim letter today with a schedule of charges. I used the template from here for that. Just a case of waiting for the fob off now
