Default Lesta City Council are insane!

To cut a long story short, I am at uni living in Leicester and have picked up a few tickets, all of which I have appealed and clearly stated in my appeal letter that they should contact me at my university (Term Time) address!

They have not accepted or rejected my appeals so I would consider the mater in their hands, to make the next move...

A year down the line and next to no correspondence later, I recieve a hand delivered letter off the bailiffsicon demanding £300 for my first ticket alone!

This ticket I recieved whilst unloading my car into a block of student accomodation (ticket issued in 5mins of car seen)! the road has double yellows, with a very wide footpath and also has single stripe kerb line with accompanying sign Mon-Fri restrictions...I recieved the ticket on a Saturday! How can I be ticketed for loading my vehicle in the first place? How can they not contact me with regards to my appeal???

    HELP!

I have just been reading this thread. Read it yourself as there is a bit of a debate on the legalities of parking on a footpath.

Just had a look at that thread but my case is different as the ticket issued was for "parking on a restricted street, during prescribed hours" Although I was unloading at the time and not given a reply to my appeal!

Oh my gosh! I just got a parking ticketicon for parking on a single yellow line with the above sign! This is not my day at all! Looking at the evidence online, they have taken a picture of a parking sign which is nowhere near my car...Can they actually do this?

Has the street got double or single yellow lines you state both in your post? DYL are everyday including sat/sun. A ticket will be issued if you are not seen loading within 5 mins leaving you to provide proof that loading was in fact taking place. The mail would usually be sent to where the car is registered have you considered that?

    Thanks for the reply!
The street in question has double yellow lines AND single kerb stripe with a no loading sign between 0800-1600hrs monday to friday! These signs along the street facing outwards towards the road. I understand that loading would be possible at the weekend as saturday and sunday fall outside this restriction. If that is not the case wouldn't the signage and road markings contradict one another???

They did give me 5mins before issuing the ticket but I was no longer then 10mins due to living in a multy storey building.

I did appeal the ticket straight away and advised them to send any correspondence to my Leicester address (not home address). They have not sent anything to my home address (Where the car is registered) with regards to my appeal and now after over a year (i've been away at uni for the last two years!!!) they have sent bailiffsicon to my mothers address threatening to remove goods (of which nothing of mine is at the property).... Would you know where i sand on this matter and can I still appeal to the NPAS Adjudicator???

The signage means that you cannot park in the street 24/7 but unload EXCEPT between mon-fri 8.00 to 16.00.
It is possible to fill in forms to get the situation taken back to the appeal stage if you did not receive the previous paperwork.

I was unloading my car at the time and it was on a Saturday thus it was out of the restricted hours!
Any idea what forms/template letters I would need to revert this situation to the appeal stages??

    Again, thanks for the help!
