Default It is advisable to claim interest?

    Hi there

I'm sorry if this question has already been asked/answered but I am filling in my money claim form (after trying for about ten minutes to enter the GIR 0AA postcode) but I am wondering if it is advisable to claim interesticon on my claim which is only £50 that was taken out about three months ago?

If so, A&L have refunded me half my money, so would I calculate interest from the two dates where they first took out two charges of £25 each or the last two (would I act like credit card companies?).

Thanks for a fantastic website, I am sure not a lot of people would even considered taking on their banks like this if it was not for the moderators and their website. (definitely me included!)

    Thanks

    Rowena

    OK. 8% on 2 x £25 taken 3 months ago is only about 98p

On the other hand, it's yours by right and if you're going to the trouble of issuing a claim, you might as well claim it. Up to you.

I have been really bad and did not issue a claim to Alliance and Leicter in the time scales I gave them. It has been at least two months since I should have done this.

I realise that I have been bad and will probably never get my £50 back - does anyone know if it is still worth putting a claim forward of if it is best to just leave this?

    Sorry for being bad.

    Thanks

OK, others have more expertise on this, BUT I didn't have time to do mine for another couple of weeks after my timetable and have just put it through. I reckon you've jumped through the hoops so you might as well see it through. If you are really nervous then perhaps you might send another lbaicon before doing so.

Alliance and Leicester: started 2/9/6, LBA 7/11/06.

Hi Thanks for your reply. I am glad that someone else has not stuck to their schedules and is still putting this through.

A lbaicon again sounds like a good idea - at least they have had the schedule then 3 times then!

    Thanks

I wouldn't bother with a second lbaicon, I've been there, done it, and seen NO reply to it.

Just hit them with the court action.
