I wrote a serious complaint letter to HFC 5 month ago in September about mis sold PPI. They have written to me 3 or 4 times since saying there investigation is nearly complete. They are now taking the ****, can I stop paying until this is resolved??
The firm must reply within eight weeks. If it fails to do so, or you are not satisfied with its response, take your case to the Financial Ombudsman Service (financial-ombudsman.org.uk) or the small-claims court.
Not sure about the stop paying bit.
I'll try and find out.
