Default GE Money PPI cover letter

hi everyone, I've been going through a whole pile of mail that my wife wanted shredding and came across a letter from GE Money saying our PPIicon is set to end on 20/11/07 and they can no longer offer further cover.

This was for a secured loan of about £15000 we took out in 2002 and which was settled in early 2004 and was under the impression that the PPI would cease and any rebate owing went towards the final settlement of the loan-clearly not!

I would be greatful of any help with how to persue this with GE.

    Regards vr1

    Hello Vr1

They beggar belief don't they, ppi still running 3 yrs after the loan was settled. The NW did this to me

Customers should never presume that these companies will do the right thing and refund the ppi back into the balance, therefore reducing it

They like a win-win situation, profit for them and nothing for you.

I personally would write to them asking for an explain as to this, but be warned they will turn it round and blame you, so be prepared for this.

    Good luck:grin:

i spoke to cardif pinnacle about this scenario and was told that "i could still make a claim money would be paid to the insured".they smack of double standards as the PPIicon would only have been taken out for the loan payment ,but now it would become income replacement and no mention of any refund
